Overview
The Department of Radiology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking an outstanding individual to join our Cardiothoracic Imaging section. Responsibilities encompass clinical service and teaching as well as close collaboration with consulting services in Thoracic Surgery, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Thoracic Oncology, Trauma, Cardiology, and Medical and Surgical Services. Clinical responsibilities include all diagnostic aspects of thoracic imaging including chest radiography, chest and cardiac CT, dual energy CT, and chest and cardiac MRI, but no interventional procedures. The department is developing a Lung Cancer Screening Program to provide a much-needed service to the New Mexico population. Additional opportunities include participation in tumor boards, multidisciplinary conferences and other interdisciplinary activities. Research opportunities include diverse and growing translational imaging and image processing facilities and are supported by dedicated research and publications staff. All applicants welcome, including those seeking J-1 waiver/H-1B sponsorship. Provide diagnostic thoracic imaging services (chest radiography, chest and cardiac CT, dual energy CT, chest and cardiac MRI). Collaborate with Thoracic Surgery, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Thoracic Oncology, Trauma, Cardiology, and other services. Participate in Lung Cancer Screening Program development and interdisciplinary activities such as tumor boards and conferences. Engage in teaching of radiology residents and fellows. Contribute to translational imaging and image processing research with available resources and staff. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements MD, DO, or equivalent Able to obtain state licensure in New Mexico Cardiothoracic imaging fellowship, completed by contract start date, or comparable experience ABR board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by contract start date Preferred Qualifications Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, and experience working with diverse communities Interest in academic radiology with residents and fellows Application Instructions
