Provides chemical engineering support to the plant Process Engineering Group. Measures plant production and consumption of raw materials and completes the month-end close process. Acts as Plant Process Steward with responsibilities including review and approval of each MOC; designation may be by process technology, engineering discipline, or a combination of both. Acts as a Management of Change Coordinator. Provides detailed process design for Plant process modifications. Manages process engineering studies and provides technical assistance to Plant operations. Conducts operation and performance reviews of Plant process equipment; recommends cost reductions and efficiency improvements; fully participates in the PIP program. Communicates process designs, recommendations and other technical issues to the engineering staff and Plant personnel in a timely, concise and thorough manner. Troubleshoots major/repetitive process equipment problems. Provides process and detail design engineering on small, well-defined capital projects. Develops Plant operating procedures in accordance with ISO standards. Serves as trained and qualified backup for Process Supervisors. Conducts safety meetings, job observations, and planned inspections per OxyChem Safety requirements; participates in Incident Investigation Review meetings. Actively pursues methods to reduce waste and releases; adheres to Oxy’s long-range environmental plan. Manages the process safety program to comply with OSHA and ISO standards. Supports plant and corporate safety, environmental, and quality programs and objectives. Qualifications

B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering 3+ years of plant engineering experience Good written and oral communication skills Understanding of HESS policies and a strong commitment to continuous improvement in HESS Ability to perform physical demands of the job (movement throughout the plant, stairs/ladders, vision and hearing requirements, PPE, emergency egress) Compliance and Safety Notices
