Schedule
2nd Shift: 4PM - 12:30AM
Plus Overtime
Pay Rate
$30 - $35 / hour
Job Summary We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on the 2nd shift. This is a temp-to-hire role with a well-established manufacturing company. The right candidate will be tasked with diagnosing and repairing a variety of production machinery to support smooth operations and reduce equipment downtime.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct scheduled and preventive maintenance on production equipment such as mixers, conveyors, fillers, labelers, and packaging systems.
Identify and resolve issues involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Replace or repair key components including motors, valves, pumps, belts, and sensors as needed.
Maintain safe and efficient machine operation in compliance with SOPs, GMP standards, and OSHA regulations.
Accurately log all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using a CMMS or written maintenance records.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and maintain product quality standards.
Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and line changeovers as needed.
Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; additional certification from a technical or trade school is a plus.
At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing environments.
Solid mechanical skills with proven experience maintaining production machinery.
Familiarity with electrical systems, basic PLC troubleshooting, and facility utilities.
Capable of reading and understanding technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Understanding of safety regulations, GMPs, and preventive maintenance principles.
Flexibility to work overtime as required.
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FDA, cGMP).
