What You’ll Do
Operate plant equipment and systems to produce and load quality product, including DCS and manual systems.
Load liquid fertilizer into tanker trucks and perform outside operations including manual valves.
Monitor utility equipment such as boilers, cooling towers and air systems.
Inspect vessels and equipment, read and record instrumentation, and take product samples.
Follow and enforce safety procedures, including hazardous waste handling, emergency response and plant safety programs.
Support maintenance and turnaround activities, and understand confined space entry.
Keep the plant and surrounding area clean, safe and organized.
Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors and contractors.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of experience in a chemical, industrial or similar plant setting.
Mechanical and technical aptitude, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work a 12‑hour swing shift (days, nights, weekends, holidays) on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule.
Commitment to safety and reliability in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and work outdoors for extended periods.
Computer and basic math skills; ability to follow standard operating procedures.
Nice to Have
Good computer literacy for loading and inventory documentation.
Understanding of DOT shipping and safety regulations.
Desire to advance within operations and take on increasing responsibilities.
