As an independent dealer, we combine industry-leading technology with local, hands-on support to deliver tailored automation solutions.
About The Position An HVAC Controls Technician is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, startup, checkout, and servicing of Building Automation Systems (BAS). Key duties include configuring and optimizing system performance, diagnosing and resolving issues, and ensuring proper integration of HVAC controls. The technician will also work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless operation and functionality of the BAS. Strong technical expertise in control systems, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in field environments are essential for this role. This full-time position offers flexible scheduling, typically with 8-hour shifts during office hours (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM).
Responsibilities
Work as a team to exceed customer needs and expectations.
Stay updated on project schedules through job site visits and communication with electrical subcontractors and project managers.
Provide guidance and answer field questions for electrical subcontractors.
Monitor electrical installations to ensure proper execution and timely completion.
Deliver materials to job sites as needed.
Complete programming and graphics before startup.
Perform startup, checkout, and commissioning of projects.
Conduct point-to-point verification to ensure control programs and graphics function per design and sequence.
Assist with project-related service calls throughout the project and warranty period.
Perform routine service inspections, including point-to-point verification of building automation systems in alignment with support agreements.
Collaborate with management to develop a professional growth plan.
Update and correct manual drawings for the engineering team to revise customer manuals.
Participate in the on-call rotation (one week per number of technicians).
