Job Description
Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell.
Apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal and pressure test, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established processes and procedures.
Training and Support
Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements.
Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression.
Perform any required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression.
Use measuring instruments as required to accomplish work assignments.
Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as errors, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.
Support continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels.
Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure.
Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking.
Integral Fuel Cell Sealing – Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and related wing section components.
Sealer – Major Assembly / Large structure sealing / Aerodynamic seal.
Required Skills
Must be able to work either shift.
Must be eligible for rehire at BOEING; contact 866-473-2016 for eligibility. (It takes 24/48hrs to receive a call back.)
Pay Rate plus $110 per diem (Per-diem only for non-local workers or those who reside over 100 miles from the work location).
Training includes SEA092, SEA083, ASY050 and standard online training.
Training will take place in Wichita, KS.
Client will schedule/pay for flights; mileage reimbursement offered if candidate wants to drive instead of fly.
Client is offering hotel reimbursement for training only while in Wichita.
ASY050 Training Details
Course Description: Area specific training for understanding sealant and the techniques in which to apply different applications of the area being trained.
SEA083 – Audience: Personnel who will be performing or inspecting the sealing of integral fuel-tank structures per Boeing BAC5504.
Pre-requisites: SEA092 - Post Assembly Sealing of Boeing Aircraft Structures.
Course Description: This course is designed to train personnel to safely and properly prepare, seal and inspect integral fuel tank structures to ensure the containment of fuel.
