Job Description Terracon is growing and hiring an experienced
Heavy Equipment Mechanic
for our
Wilkes Barre, PA
office! The successful candidate will assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of various equipment used in the field. This includes heavy-duty trucks, semi-tractors, drilling rigs, excavators, pumps, bulldozers, cranes, trailers, forklifts, and man lifts. They should have the knowledge to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs on transport trucks, drilling rigs, and heavy equipment.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and adjustments on equipment.
Troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
Maintain service logs and records of maintenance activities.
Assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques.
Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning; report safety concerns.
Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional heavy equipment mechanic certification preferred.
5-10 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.
Proficiency with tools, materials, and practices used in motor vehicle and equipment repair.
Knowledge of safety standards related to equipment repair.
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
