Plant Operator (Open)
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Plant) – Industrial
How will you contribute and grow? Airgas is hiring for a Plant Operator in Jacksonville, FL. Join our dynamic team to help us deliver excellence in industrial gases and related products.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain equipment within our production facility, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
Safely handle and transport cylinders, including filling and quality checks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the facility safely.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial operations is a plus.
Previous experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Ability to operate a forklift safely.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed.
