Join Our Team as a Field Service Technician at Epiroc At Epiroc USA LLC, our Parts and Services (PSD) Division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers' productivity. We focus on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training.
Field Service Technician
provides thorough service support for technical problems, testing, and demonstrations that minimize downtime and promote product capabilities. This role requires troubleshooting, repairing and installing parts as needed to maintain equipment, executed with urgency while upholding Epiroc quality standards.
The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions, with occasional exposure to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals and electrical shock risks. PPE is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. This position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities Level 1
Regularly review and update personal tool inventory on a quarterly basis to maintain compliance with calibration and tool replacement protocols, and always maintain an accurate personal tool inventory
Complete daily work assignments as requested from the customer or supervisor
Use basic analytical skills to troubleshoot, identify problems and complete repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems either by phone or on site
Understand the company’s warranty policy and process warranty claim reports in the field
Understand and adhere to safety and environmental requirements, promote proper safety procedures and correct PPE use; work sustainably with environmental awareness
Maintain courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff
Level 2
In addition to Level 1 tasks, provide warranty support by evaluating and validating claims, discussing issues with Product Company, and submitting service reports to support claims
Communicate service and other relevant activities to the Customer and Service Manager via daily service reports, forms, email and phone
Support varied activities with simultaneous projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Level 3
In addition to Level 1 and 2, develop solutions customized to customer issues
Rebuild complete components to OEM specifications in the service shop
Perform essential functions across various equipment types, supporting all business line areas
Serve as a subject matter expert for other service technicians and assist with training and development
Requirements Level 1
Basic computer skills; familiarity with Epiroc equipment; strong mechanical aptitude and work ethic; ability to read basic hydraulic and 24-volt schematics
Own hand tools and ability to expand tool inventory per Epiroc tool list
Complete TL1 and TL2 training and Safe Start Modules 1-5 within the first year
Maintain US Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration Training Certificates or complete required programs by date set by manager
Maintain a valid driver's license with good driving record; ability to obtain CDL if required for DOT purposes; minimum age requirements for CMV operation
Travel required
Level 2
Certificate of Completion from Technical/Trade School or 2-5 years relevant experience
Complete TL1 and TL2 within 3-6 months of hire
Level 3
Certificate from Technical/Trade School or 5+ years relevant experience
Expertise in Rig Control Systems (RCS)
Complete TL1 and TL2 within 1 month of hire
