is seeking a Structures Staff Engineer (Bridge) interested in developing their career to join our structures department in our
Fairfax, VA
office as a Structures Engineer (Bridge). The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, and other miscellaneous structures). The candidate will be involved in the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages, and assisting with bridge safety inspections. Responsibilities
Design and develop concrete and steel bridges and related transportation structures (retaining walls, culverts, and other miscellaneous structures) Develop Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) packages Assist with bridge safety inspections Collaborate with team members to deliver infrastructure projects for clients Contribute to technical growth and problem solving on challenging projects Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college 5+ years of experience in bridge and retaining wall projects preferably to VDOT and/or MD SHA standards Master's degree is preferred Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications Preference for knowledge of OpenBridge Designer, Leap Bridge Concrete, CSiBridge, and/or similar analysis programs Proficiency using Microstation Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL) Strong verbal and written communication skills The salary range for this position is $97,825 - $125,775 *Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.* Note: If you don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply.
