Responsibilities
Purchase all raw materials, packaging, finished goods and outside services.
Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality and delivery speed.
Collaborate with sales, marketing and manufacturing to establish inventory safety stock levels, reorder amounts, and lead times for all raw material and finished goods.
Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
Demand forecast, statistical trend analysis and purchase order management.
Qualifications
Ensure necessary items and raw materials are procured, parts produced, inventory maintained, and stock distributed in accordance with company goals.
Review product inventory status on a regular basis and communicate priorities to production and inventory control personnel.
Negotiate purchase criteria and work out policies with suppliers.
Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies and the QMS system.
Obtain purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitor and expedite orders as necessary.
Prepare and release work orders for production.
Perform demand forecasting and needs assessment to ensure appropriate inventory levels by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
Manage and perform transactions in the ERP system to ensure system accuracy for purchasing processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
