Do you spot subtle solder voids and bridges in an AXI image that others overlook?
Can you translate BOMs, MPIs, ECNs, and deviations into precise inspection action?
Are you energized by partnering with engineers to lift first‑pass yield and reduce rework?
What you’ll tackle
Run and oversee daily AXI (including 5DX) operations to support the production line.
Review AXI output to ensure consistent detection of component placement issues and solder joint defects.
Load AXI programs as instructed and verify parameters before release to production.
Inspect ICs, chips, connectors, joints, text/markings, and related features using the AXI computer‑operated system.
Apply magnification aids and accept/reject criteria per IPC‑A‑610.
Read/interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, MPI, ECN, Deviation, and other inspection documentation.
Identify SMT paste and placement nonconformances with repeatable judgment and documentation.
Assist engineers with data collection, system evaluations, and equipment training for operators.
Contribute to workplace organization and improvement initiatives (5S).
Carry out additional AXI support and production tasks as assigned.
What you’ll need to succeed
3+ years hands‑on experience with AXI or 5DX equipment.
High School Diploma.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and ESD controls.
IPC‑A‑610 Certification.
Role details
