$30.00/hr - $38.00/hr Responsibilities
Assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for equipment such as production machinery, production or development test equipment, and support systems Read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly drawings for mechanical systems or machinery Diagnose and correct complex problems in production machinery and/or test equipment; devise solutions including fabrication of parts, system modifications to provide additional functionality, and analyze existing systems for process capability Perform routine preventive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems and document completion Document mechanical or electrical problems and utilize resources to find solutions Execute plans of electrical wiring for machinery and electrical systems Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breakers, panels) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring component compatibility Perform general electrical maintenance Service, repair, replace components, and install building service fixtures and equipment up to 480v Perform precision alignment of machinery and balancing for rotating equipment Use technical knowledge, documentation, and test equipment to troubleshoot and repair electronic systems to the component level Collaborate with Management, Engineering, and other teams to analyze and improve designs and test procedures Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems to the component level Install, assemble, and fabricate electronics / electrical components per electrical codes, manuals, schematics, site directions, and blueprints Make cable and wiring connections accurately Perform regular inspections to identify defects and replacements Perform system testing to evaluate performance and functionality Maintain inventory control of electronic components and tools Maintain documentation of system installation and maintenance procedures Coordinate with management to determine deadlines for tasks Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system performance Develop prototypes for feasibility analysis and present findings Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned, including building maintenance Adhere to safety and quality standards Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (documentation required) Minimum 3 years of electrical and electronic troubleshooting/maintenance experience Must meet ITAR definition of US Person (documentation required) Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics Understand single and 3-phase AC power up to 480v Knowledge of motors and transformers Familiar with PLC programming and ladder logic Ability to solder to the component level Ability to read and operate measuring equipment (Oscilloscope, digital multimeters, signal analyzers, etc.) Ability to annotate and maintain repair documents accurately Ability to meet critical deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment Understand drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and instructions for system installation Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Overtime availability, including weekends when required MTI is a safety-sensitive employer; pre-employment drug screening may be required Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools, and reading blueprints Ability to positively identify wire colors Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and guidelines Excellent problem-solving ability Strong written and verbal communication in English Preferences / Additional Experience
Associate\'s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field 1-3 years of previous manufacturing experience Hourly Rate
Hourly Rate:
$30-$38+ (DOE) Physical Demands / Work Environment
Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach, bend, stoop, balance, crouch, and communicate. May move throughout the facility. Frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, color identification, and focus adjustment. Noise level may be loud. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment.
