Maintenance Specialist / Maintenance Journeyman
We are looking for a
Maintenance Specialist
to join our team and ensure the ongoing reliability, efficiency, and safety of our manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role supports production by performing preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting complex systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within an automotive parts manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production machinery, tooling, and facility infrastructure
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, including PLC-controlled systems
Conduct scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and modifications in the CMMS
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to solve equipment issues and improve efficiency
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modificationsEnsure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulations
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities (Lean, TPM, 5S)
Manage spare parts inventory and recommend supply needs
Respond to off-shift/weekend emergencies on a rotating on-call basis
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, robotics, PLCs, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and CMMS
Solid understanding of safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout, OSHA requirements)
Eligible to obtain a Journeyman license
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and handle high‑pressure situations
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights
Preferred Skills
Experience in TPM or Lean Manufacturing
Familiarity with ISO/TS standards for automotive manufacturing
Knowledge of robotics systems (ABB, Fanuc, or similar)
Ability to maintain a Journeyman license (if applicable)
