Responsibilities Proficient in PLCs (Allen-Bradley, ABB, and Siemens). Experience in troubleshooting system issues using PLC required. Robotics Experience preferred (FANUC). Power distribution systems and other basic electrical/electronic equipment. Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems; multi-craft skills required. Inspect, assemble and install new or repaired electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation and equipment, including motors, regulators, controllers, generators, switchgear. Inspect electrical equipment and machinery, diagnose faulty operation, determine corrective action, document in maintenance scheduling program, and perform repairs. Stay up to date with technology development and industry trends regarding electrical control, motor AC/DC drives, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial lighting equipment. Configure, commission, troubleshoot and startup AC/DC drives, HMI, PLC, DCS, or other control devices/systems with minimal assistance from engineering. Document all electrical changes with marked up drawings. Plan, prioritize, and complete work efficiently while complying with city, state, and federal electrical codes. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Work in a team-based environment. Adhere to Johns Manville safety procedures and policies. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma required. Two years of formal technical training in electrical and instrumentation crafts. Five to ten years of Industrial Electrician/E&I experience. AutoCAD experience a plus. Must successfully complete CBT training and BBSO. Physical ability to stand, walk, use tools, and frequently reach, climb stairs; able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to tolerate elevated heights and extreme temperatures; work in all weather conditions. Good hearing, vision, speaking, color vision, and dexterity; ability to analyze blueprints, charts, and diagrams. Electricians must supply basic hand tools including electrical meters. Respirator and hearing protection required in some areas. Willing to work any shift. Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to perform essential job functions. Some areas contain airborne particles; PPE is required (steel-toed shoes, ear protection, eye protection, respirators, gloves, and head protection).
