Job Description We are looking for a skilled
Maintenance Supervisor
to lead day‑to‑day maintenance operations at Adient, a fast‑paced automotive manufacturing facility. The role involves coordinating maintenance staff to ensure equipment and production processes run safely and efficiently, supporting preventive maintenance initiatives, and maintaining full compliance with safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Directly supervise maintenance department employees in a manufacturing environment.
Interview, train, assign, and evaluate employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and improve crew efficiency.
Implement and maintain Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Provide 24/7 support to staff and engineering teams.
Coordinate with outside contractors.
Prepare site for new equipment and create preventive maintenance plans.
Create and assign work orders to technicians; run downtime reports.
Participate in safety meetings, safety walks, and enforce safety regulations; report unsafe conditions; attend safety Kaizen events and audits.
Initiate timely investigations of incidents/accidents, complete 8Ds, document root causes.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred) with relevant education/certifications, or 10 years without a degree.
OSHA 30 certification (required).
NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B certifications (required).
NFPA 101 certification (preferred).
General knowledge of control systems and PLCs.
Ability to pass an annual physical examination.
Valid driver’s license (required).
Availability to work a rotational shift schedule (2–4 weeks per rotation).
