Control Tower & Field Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead the identification of warranty related issues – through part analysis and vehicle reviews; the Control Tower Engineer is accountable for initial problem‑solving, proposed responsible functional area and clean point validation.

Propose triage recommendations based on combined data and physical insights for resolution by downstream teams.

Support governance of the warranty issue through its lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university

5+ years of experience in Product Engineering

Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills

Well‑rounded automotive knowledge and ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment and manage a unionized workforce

Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s in engineering

Shainin RedX Black Belt

Green Belt / Kepner Tregoe

Design for Six Sigma

Project Management

Working knowledge of TeamCenter

Working knowledge of GD&T and thorough understanding of detail on drawings

2 years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.
