Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable
Diesel Mechanic with hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, bore machines, and hydro vac trucks .
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles used in utility, construction, or excavation operations.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and components in trucks, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery.
Inspect, service, and repair
bore machines
and
hydro vac units
to ensure safe and optimal performance.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on all equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Collaborate with operators and field staff to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Order and replace parts as necessary.Operate tools and diagnostic equipment with care and efficiency.
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty equipment technician.
Hands-on experience with
bore machines
and
hydro vac trucks
is required.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatics.
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Valid driver’s license (CDL or willingness to obtain).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
Qualifications
Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics or a related field.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
ASE certification(s) or equivalent credentials.
