FIRE ALARM INSTALLATION FOREMAN – Location: Newark, DE. Sobieski Life Safety, Inc. (a division of J.F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc.) is hiring a full-time Fire Alarm Installation Foreman. The company is a growing mechanical contracting organization serving Delaware, southern New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and nearby regions. $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr What you’ll do

The Fire Alarm Installation Foreman oversees the installation and completion of commercial fire alarm systems. Responsibilities include ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope, coordinating with project management, supervising field personnel, and collaborating with inspectors and clients. The role involves hands-on installation work and active involvement in project coordination. Responsibilities

Oversee installation and completion of commercial fire alarm systems Ensure projects meet schedule, scope, and code compliance Coordinate with project management and supervise field personnel Collaborate with inspectors and clients Assist with rough-in, panel wiring, device layout, and final device installation as needed Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (minimum) Vocational schooling or electrical/fire alarm apprenticeship preferred Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in construction tasks Two (2) years of leadership experience NICET Certification a plus Working knowledge of Delaware State Fire Prevention Regulations (NFPA), NEC, OSHA, and related codes Experience with Honeywell Notifier systems is highly desirable; experience with Honeywell Silent Knight, Honeywell Fire-Lite, and Potter systems a plus Broad experience across all phases of fire alarm installation (rough-in, panel wiring, device layout, final installation) Microsoft Office proficiency for documentation and reporting Ability to work in a multicultural environment Ability to pass a background check and drug screen; valid driver’s license and good driving record Work schedule
