Job Description Job Summary
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving production systems and processes to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality standards. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives at IFABCorp.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and improve production processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safety.
Develop and implement standardized work procedures, plant layouts, and time studies.
Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead and participate in Kaizen events and process improvement projects.
Monitor and report performance metrics (productivity, quality, scrap, downtime).
Support new product introduction and process validation efforts.
Collaborate with maintenance and tooling teams to ensure equipment reliability.
Participate in line balancing, capacity analysis, and ergonomic assessments.
Ensure proper documentation of processes and maintain accurate engineering records.
Support compliance with ISO and IATF quality management systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO and IATF.
Strong skills in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other design/layout software.
Experience with time and motion studies, work instructions, and standardization.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Qualifications
Knowledge of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
Welding, Assembly, Press Brake, Stamping, Laser Cutting, Coating (e.g., powder coating, wet paint), CNC Machining.
Experience with ERP systems (SAGE, SAP, etc.).
Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma.
