Edge Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to focus on commercial construction projects. The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, preparing accurate bids, and collaborating with clients, vendors, and the construction team.
Compensation starts at $75,000+ per year, plus a company‑sponsored 401(k), medical, dental, life & disability insurance, and paid vacation & holidays.
As an Estimator, You Will:
Review commercial construction plans and electrical specifications to develop accurate takeoffs and prepare competitive bids
Write detailed proposals for bid submission
Clarify bid documents and prepare RFIs
Provide post‑bid follow‑up to negotiate scope and pricing, including value engineering and scope modifications
Work with vendors to ensure multiple bids on all requested materials
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and engineers throughout projects
Create, manage, and track change orders efficiently
Keep bid documents organized and up to date
Manage multiple commercial projects simultaneously
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial electrical estimating
Proficient in reading plans and specifications
Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and construction estimating software
Must have experience with Accubid
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work with limited supervision
Excellent communication skills with internal teams and clients
