Summary
To troubleshoot, test, calibrate, modify, and maintain nuclear and non-nuclear environmental systems (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) independently, in compliance with PVNGS and regulatory policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
HS Diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience in service/repair of industrial HVAC equipment. Completed an approved refrigeration and air conditioning service training program or equivalent. Ability to interpret technical manuals, procedures, plant drawings, and diagrams. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and back shifts. (Meets ANSI standard 3.1, 1978) Testing
EEI MASS Test administered. Nuclear Requirement
Employees may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and must fulfill this obligation. This is a condition of employment at PVNGS. Roles and responsibilities are defined in Policy 1503 and applicable policies. Employees may support refueling or outage activities, including line roles and responsibilities. Major Accountabilities
Respond to emergency requests to restore plant and building equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment. Maintain, test, and overhaul large centrifugal chillers. Test, inspect, and maintain nuclear air filtration systems. Calibrate, test, and repair HVAC instruments and controls. Perform corrective maintenance. Test and overhaul large fans for plant operations. Perform freeze seals on piping systems. Export Compliance / EEO Statement
