Responsibilities

Design roadways and drainage for KYTC (or other DOT clients) with the ability to perform geometric roadway design, assist in analyses, develop calculations, and prepare contract documents (PS&E) in accordance with state and local agency requirements Work within a team of roadway engineers to prepare design and contract documents for transportation projects Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope Adapt to partner with Lochner offices throughout the firm through work-sharing to deliver projects on time and within budget

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering required Professional Engineer (PE) preferred Candidate may report in-office or work a hybrid schedule. KY resident highly preferred 5+ years of demonstrated experience in roadway design and plan preparation on transportation projects for DOT clients KYTC experience preferred Experience in MicroStation required; OpenRoads designer is a plus Drainage, stormwater and erosion control design experience a plus Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Traffic modeling, roundabout design, drainage design and/or highway lighting design experience a plus
