Preferred Qualifications
Able to work as needed on nights, holidays, and weekends
Technical school or Associate's degree
10 years of roadway/highway inspection experience
ITS experience
Previous FDOT or other comparable agency experience
Relevant industry certifications including CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level 1, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1, CTQP Earthwork Constution Inspection, IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 1, CTQP Final Estimates Level 1, FDOT Intermediate MOT, Nuclear Radiation Safety, Florida Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors, Critical Structures Construction Issues, Seld-Study Course - CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
Ability to interpret construction schedules
Local candidates are preferred
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 5 years experience
Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Strong written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing
