Job Purpose Dana is searching for a skilled and motivated candidate in the area of Advanced Technologies to support the development of mechanical and electrified driveline technologies. This work involves supporting lab fixturing and advanced lab test campaigns for proof of concept (PoC) designs and PoC component test data analysis. Additionally, the candidate will support project management of other active technology projects at Dana, providing alignment at leadership levels of resources, timing, and KPIs to achieve Dana’s technology development objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Proof of Concept (PoC) Development
Identifying key KPIs to test in advanced laboratory environment for select advanced technologies
Ability to support design of initial test fixturing in CAD programs such as NX
Ability to work with suppliers using release drawings for test fixturing procurement
Assist in assembly and setup of bench tests for development of advanced technologies
Perform wiring on test setups for controls and instrumentation
Support PoC test article builds
Rework and modify proof of concept (PoC) components as required
Write test preparations/procedures and perform test data collection and analysis
Provide concise reporting of test analysis learnings, next steps and recommendations
Project Management – Advanced Technology Projects
Ensure technology development lead engineers follow Dana’s Technology Development Process (TDP 3.0)
Manage tracking of all active technology development projects at Dana through Knowledge Database tracking tools
Schedule and manage agenda for recurring Technology Council reviews
Manage maturity levels of concept ideas at Dana for review at Technology Council
Manage alignment of technology development activities to business needs, customer targets, and platform development initiatives
Document lessons learned and update OneDana procedures as applicable
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
4+ years experience in related discipline
CAD experience (NX)
Experience in developing lab tests to support demonstration of status to KPIs
Excellent mechanical aptitude and analytical ability.
Instrumentation and electronics wiring experience a plus
Experience with requirements mgt. tools such Polarion, JIRA a plus.
Instrumentation experience preferred
Laboratory data processing tools experience
Demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
Excellent writing, verbal, and presentation skills – able to present at Chief Technology Officer (CTO) level as required
Must be a self-directed and motivated individual who is organized and able to accept multiple tasks and responsibilities
Excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner.
Must be able to work in a team environment and have good communication skills.
Must be self-motivated and capable of performing duties with limited supervision.
