The Packaging Designer plays a pivotal role in spearheading the design process for packaging and display concepts, adhering to licensed brand guidelines from initial concept to the creation of finalized, brand‑approved "ready for press" files. Demonstrating creativity and ingenuity, this role involves crafting solutions that adeptly convey product attributes while staying within specified brand guidelines and cost constraints. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate on renowned national brands and the opportunity to engage in dynamic photo shoots for packaging, alongside contributing to diverse digital communications initiatives spanning across our extensive portfolio of brands.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Senior Packaging Designer and Packaging & Corporate Creative Services Team to conceptualize, develop, and execute design strategies spanning both print and digital platforms.
Serve as a vital team member within the Marketing department, offering creative insights and recommendations to bolster various projects.
Demonstrate exceptional time management skills to consistently deliver top‑tier work within the constraints of a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Produce and finalize packaging and display mechanicals to "ready for press" (RFP) standards.
Contribute to photo shoots when necessary, ensuring alignment with design objectives.
Work in tandem with Packaging Developers and Packaging Production Artists to uphold design integrity throughout the packaging development process.
Image retouching as required for packaging and display purposes.
Foster collaboration across cross‑functional teams to achieve collective goals and business objectives.
Qualifications
2 years of experience in packaging design, and POS displays
Strong sense of design, typography, and color management, creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization and design skills
Experience with licensed branding, and interpreting brand style guides for product extensions
Experience creating "rfp" (ready for print) mechanicals, knowledge of photography & photo re‑touching
Experience with PLM and Airtable preferred
Annual salary starting at $70,000.
