Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily maintenance operations to ensure timely repairs, equipment reliability, and facility upkeep. This role oversees the maintenance technician team and supports preventive and corrective maintenance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives within the facility. The supervisor acts as a critical liaison between maintenance, production, and other departments to reduce downtime and optimize operational efficiency. Base pay range : $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance technicians. Assign, prioritize, and track work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Maintain maintenance documentation and ensure CMMS records are accurate and complete. Work closely with production to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to operations. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities to identify safety or operational issues. Provide coaching, feedback, and technical guidance to technicians to support development and performance. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and regulatory requirements. Support capital projects, new equipment installations, and facility improvement initiatives. Monitor parts inventory and request procurement as needed. Lead or participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement efforts. Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Working conditions: Accessing all areas in the plant. Physical demands: Regularly required to stand or sit and move about the facility. Education and Formal Training
High School Diploma / GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Journeyman card or relevant industry certifications preferred, where applicable. Experience and Skills
4+ years’ experience in the field, with 1-2 years in a leadership role. Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read schematics, blueprints, and manuals. Proficient with hand and power tools. Basic understanding of PLCs, motors, drives, and industrial controls. Knowledge of OSHA standards; OSHA 10/30 certified preferred. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, climb, kneel, and work in confined spaces or heights. Materials and Equipment Used
