Overview The Production Planner III is responsible for creating and maintaining efficient production schedules, ensuring that materials, resources, and labor are aligned to meet production goals and deadlines. This role supports Lean Manufacturing practices, implements demand scheduling tools, and utilizes ERP, MRP, MS Project, Excel, and SQL. It ensures production processes are optimized and aligned with industry standards, particularly in aerospace and automotive manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain efficient production schedules to meet production goals and deadlines.

Ensure materials, resources, and labor are aligned to support production schedules.

Support Lean Manufacturing practices and implement demand scheduling tools.

Utilize ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL to optimize production planning processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of production schedules with business objectives.

Maintain accurate records of production schedules, material requirements, and resource allocation.

Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address issues or delays.

Perform data analysis and present findings and suggestions to stakeholders.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).

Typically 5+ years of related experience.

Highly skilled with ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL.

Extensive experience with production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace or Automotive.

Proven track record of optimizing production processes and improving efficiency.

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to support decision-making processes.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001.

Understanding of capacity planning and resource allocation to optimize production efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

APICS certification.

Experience using Python, R, MS Project, Power BI, Tableau.

Compensation Pay Range: $87,230 - $119,955

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

Additional Requirements

Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.

Frequently perform repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions requiring dexterity.

Rarely lift or carry up to 20 lbs.

Working conditions: rarely exposed to outdoor elements or hazardous chemicals/materials; rarely exposed to fumes or loud noises.
