BRECOflex is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal and plastic components using HAAS CNC machines. You’ll set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes, ensuring each part meets exact specifications. This position requires a solid understanding of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience
Experience:
Minimum 5 years as a CNC machinist, preferably with at least 3 years using HAAS CNC machines.
Programming, setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
Strong understanding of G‑code programming and CNC machine operations.
Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments and tools.
Other:
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Functions
Set‑Up and Operation:
Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to produce parts for work order specifications, drawings, and internal standards.
Load material into CNC machine using different clamping technologies, select appropriate tooling, touch off tools, monitor tool condition during operation.
Adjust machine settings and process parameters, such as speeds, feeds, and cutting tools, to optimize production efficiency and ensure highest product quality.
Debur parts using deburring equipment to finish parts.
Programming:
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to write and modify CNC programs and macros; fully understand geometrical product specifications; utilize G‑code to modify available CNC codes and create new code to manufacture custom parts with tight tolerances; troubleshoot and adjust programs to ensure optimal machine performance, product quality and tool life.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards using precision measuring instruments; use CMM to inspect features with critical tolerances; perform first‑piece and in‑process inspections, adjusting as necessary.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines; diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues, work with maintenance to request repairs and adjustments.
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with engineering and leadership to identify and implement process improvements; provide input to enhance productivity and reduce cycle and set‑up times; mentor and train junior machinists and apprentices.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards, including ISO quality requirements.
Physical/Environmental
Must be able to lift 49 lbs. to waist height.
Prolonged periods of standing (90% of shift).
Ability to move around the manufacturing area.
Manual dexterity; hand‑eye coordination.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $54,000 - $66,500 (based on experience).
