Diesel Mechanic role at Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Immediate permanent full-time Master Level Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet. SBTIII trained within 180 days (SBT220). Complete all OEM online diagnostic tool courses as required by location fleet mix (within 365 days). Complete instructor-led OEM courses as required to support location fleet mix. Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard maintenance, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs with minimal support. Access and use internal and external maintenance documents; diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support using diagnostic computers/software when applicable. Remote triage with RCRC and customers to determine best solution for roadside breakdowns. Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint. Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance procedures and diagnostics; coach/mentor other technicians; advise shop management on repairs. Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation; comply with safety, DOT, MOT and other guidelines. Provide other support duties as required to support operations (e.g., Service Island support). Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Vocational/Technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred. Basic tools required. Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including: Routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work). Diagnostics and repairs including AC and electrical systems. Advanced skilled repairs including major engine repairs, diesel aftertreatment or automotive fuel injection repairs. Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred. Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred. Other location-specific certifications as required. Additional Requirements

Ability to perform all T3 tasks; advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance. Effective interpersonal communication; basic computer skills (PC, Windows). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to work shift/weekends and on-call as required. Ase certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, electrical, Electronics or ASE Master Mechanic preferred. Operate shop computers and diagnostic test equipment proficiently; maintain minimum tool set; road test vehicles as necessary; coach/mentor others. Must drive Ryder vehicles; obtain CDL within 6 months after hire; pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background/motor vehicle checks for the last 3 years.
