Scope This entry level Process Engineer will be involved with all aspects associated with the planning, process and fabrication of specialty printed circuit boards. Long-term goals are to manage projects independently and to develop customer interface skills. Duties and Responsibilities Interface with various departments to maintain, analyze, and improve all processes, production and associated controlled documentation. Internal and external qualification of new processes. Root cause analysis of day-to-day issues associated with the departments. Evaluation of equipment through DOE and capability testing. Accountable for programming and troubleshooting of equipment software. Provide technical and analytical support for all customers and suppliers associated with product and equipment issues, respectively. Communicates regularly to supervisors and managers, suggests and composes procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment, and communicates safety hazards and issues to supervisors. Generates, accumulates, and handles hazardous wastes generated in daily operations, as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager. Responsibilities include reporting of all accidents, near misses and safety concerns. Perform duties utilizing required PPE and participate in safety training and related procedures (JSA, PPE Assessments, MSDS and safety procedures). Essential Knowledge and Skills Understanding of manufacturing processes and process control; skilled at root cause analysis. Strong organizational and project management skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to react quickly to day-to-day problems with timely solutions. Ability to make decisions under pressure. Hands-on with analytical approach to process and mechanical problems. Reading vision and hearing, and clear speech. Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work up to 9 hours/day, 5 days/week, with weekend flexibility. Physical requirements: standing up to 8 hours/day, ability to lift 45 lbs., ability to walk; no respiratory issues. Fine motor skills and rapid mental-muscular coordination. ITAR requirements: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status may be required. Safety-focused and compliant with work rules and PPE usage. Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with 0-5 years of experience. Localities with regulated ranges (e.g., NY, CA, CO) may have defined ranges per local requirements.
