Overview
Maintenance Mechanic position requiring hands-on repair, installation, alignment, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection and dismantling of machinery and equipment. Must have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, familiarity with Safety and ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System requirements, and a valid electrician millwright license. Minimum five years in industry and knowledge of Health and Safety codes, regulations and procedures. Ability to read mechanical, electrical and machine drawings and understand manufacturer maintenance manuals. Responsibilities
Programming/Troubleshooting of PLC and programmable controllers AC and DC drives and motor, generators control systems Hands on repair, calibration of pneumatics and hydraulic systems Knowledge of arc welding and brazing Forklift certification Usage of equipment and hand tools; use of precision tools; regular upkeep of equipment Familiar with relevant market products and equipment Perform related duties as assigned Servicing of prime motors, PLC, programmable controller, shaft, couplings, seals, chains, belt drive systems, gear systems, pneumatic and vacuum systems, lubrication and cooling systems Capable of rigging, hoisting and fitting practices Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code, CSA/ASTM/ANSI codes Capable of reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical and machine drawings and maintenance manuals Qualifications
Education: High School or Technical School A valid electrician millwright license Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Experience: Minimum five years in industry Familiar with Health and Safety codes, regulations and procedures Ability to prepare and implement maintenance work schedules Senioriy level
