Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

Key Responsibilities: Shaping Wisconsin's Landscape
Drafting & Design:
Draft surveys and designs using
AutoCAD
and
Civil 3D .
Research & Analysis:
Research and analyze
state, county, and city records
to establish property boundaries and survey control.
Field Deliverables:
Perform
construction staking ,
ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys , and
topographic surveys .
Platting & Mapping:
Create
Certified Survey Maps (CSMs) ,
Preliminary & Final Plats , and
Condominium Plats .
Documentation:
Prepare
Transportation Project Plats , write detailed
legal land descriptions , and create
Elevation Certificates .
Team Leadership:
Supervise field technicians and coordinate fieldwork and research efforts, ensuring project quality and timelines are met.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, a proven track record, and technical proficiency.
Experience:
3+ years of land surveying experience.
Licensure:
Must be a
Licensed Surveyor
or actively working toward obtaining your
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
certification.
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise with
AutoCAD
and
Civil 3D .
Education:
Associate degree or higher in Civil Technology (or related field).
Driving:
Must have an
Active Valid Driver's License
(misdemeanors considered, no felonies).
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of managing and mentoring field teams, and familiarity with
subdivision regulations
and
site/lot layout design .
