EMH&T is currently seeking a Civil Engineer (EI) to join our Public Works team located in Columbus, OH. Our EIs work under the guidance of experienced Engineers and Project Managers who provide mentorship and support throughout your career development.

Responsibilities

Prepare conceptual plans, exhibits, and plan sets. May include drainage analysis, preparing surfaces, line work and contour drawings from survey data points; developing plan and profile drawings and details, grading, utility plans, storm sewers, roadways, required easements, access drives, parking and more, in accordance with local zoning standards and internal EMH&T drafting standards.

Plan and organize workflow, coordinate and oversee work prepared by others, develop design calculations and subsequent plan details and specifications, and assist with plan reviews and modifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

0 - 4 years experience.

Work experience, including internships or co-op experiences in civil, construction, or a related area and exposure to engineering consulting firm environment, preferred.
