Structural Mechanic/Installer
works as part of a maintenance crew tasked with repairing and implementing structural and body enhancements to aircrafts within their rated scope. Responsibilities include: Installing units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assemblies according to drawings and specifications, using hand tools and power tools. Replacing worn aircraft body parts, flight control surfaces, fuel cells, tanks, and performing cleaning and restoration, pylon, and windshield replacements. Following strict dimension tolerances and FAA maintenance bulletins based on engineering blueprints. Operating gas-based arc welding equipment, brazing equipment, centering tools, riveting tools, and other sheet metal and structural maintenance tools. Removing dented or worn-out aircraft sheet metal and structural parts. Cutting, trimming, bending, and smoothing sheet metal parts to ensure proper fit within tolerances and clearance parts. Interpreting engineering blueprints, illustrations, and specifications to determine layouts, sequences, and relationships of parts. Performing other duties as assigned. Education requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. FAA A&P or appropriate military occupational specialty training required. Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience required. Any combination of education and experience may be substituted for job requirements upon approval by the hiring manager, COO, and CEO. Additional Details
