As Bridge Inspection Program Manager, you will leverage your experience to assist in growing our Texas and Oklahoma bridge inspection practice. The candidate will lead bridge inspection teams, perform inspections, write and/or assist with writing inspection reports, and assist with rehabilitation, design, and load rating projects. The candidate will visit various sites throughout Texas to provide hands-on structural inspections of bridges and other transportation structures as per the National Bridge Inventory (NBI). Office duties include design and load rating calculations, and developing rehabilitation designs and plans. Your Key Responsibilities
Perform bridge inspection, design, rehabilitation, and load rating tasks on assigned projects. Conduct calculations using company standard and proprietary software. Assist other offices with bridge inspection, rehabilitation, and load rating tasks. Perform other duties as assigned. Your Capabilities And Credentials
Completed 2-week NHI Course No. 130055 or 5-day NHI Course No. 130056. Thorough understanding of codes, legal, and design requirements. Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Office, and AssetWise (or similar). Knowledge of design software such as BrR, MDX, LEAP, etc. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team, communicate ideas clearly, and think critically. Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, and structures. Willingness to travel periodically (15-25%). Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Education And Experience
TxDOT pre-certified in 6.1.2 Routine Bridge Inspection Project Manager. TxDOT pre-certified in 6.2.2 Complex Bridge Inspection Project Manager. Two to five years of bridge inspection experience. Professional Engineer license(s). Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Completion of NHI Course No. 130078 is a plus. Experience with rope access/climbing inspection methods is a plus. This position involves both office work and field inspections. Duties may change as assigned.
