Our client is currently seeking a qualified Field Service Technician to join their team in Rockingham, NC and provide end-user support. This role involves servicing multiple store locations, ensuring consistent and high-quality technical support across hardware, software, and network environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while representing the company in a professional manner. A valid driver's license and clean MVR is required.
Responsibilities
Provide onsite technical support for IT and data-related issues, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
Perform installations, maintenance, and configuration of computers, printers, and POS (Point of Sale) systems
Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests while maintaining clear and detailed documentation
Collaborate with remote support teams to diagnose and resolve escalated issues
Travel to various store locations using a company-provided vehicle to deliver consistent and efficient service
Maintain and update service records, providing accurate and detailed field reports
Adhere to company standards of professionalism, communication, and customer satisfaction
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with technology updates and operational procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 1+ years of IT technical support experience (retail or field service experience preferred)
CompTIA A+ Certification required
Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting, printer setup and configuration, and basic networking concepts
Familiarity with POS systems and related peripherals is a plus
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver's license required (travel between locations is part of the role)
Wage Range The rate for this position is between
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour . Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
