Overview

Pre-K Speech Language Pathologist - Waterville at CDS PEDS (ServingSchools). Itinerant preschool SLP position in Waterville, 40 hours per week, calendar year. Responsibilities include evaluating and providing speech-language services for children ages 3-5 with disabilities, tele-therapy as needed, consultation to classroom and program teachers, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Travel is required. Current licensure, Criminal History Records Check, and DHHS background check are required. Responsibilities

Complete speech and language evaluations for children ages 3-5. Provide direct services and tele-therapy for children identified with speech and language delays. Provide consultation to classroom and program teachers. Work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Participate as a member of the IFSP/IEP teams and ensure services meet IDEA requirements as set forth in Maine regulations. Qualifications

State of Maine Speech Therapist License (required if position bills MaineCare). Maine Department of Education Certification 293 (allowable for non-MaineCare billing). Successful background, criminal records, fingerprinting, and reference check. Master’s Degree in an appropriate field of study. Working knowledge of child development, disabilities, family systems, and special education methods. Ability to interact with a wide variety of people and provide services in multiple settings. Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to travel to multiple locations. Benefits
