Construction Superintendent
to help oversee day-to-day operations and maintain the standards that have made our name trusted across West Texas.
About the Role We’re looking for a driven, organized, and hands‑on Superintendent to manage daily jobsite activities across multiple residential projects. Ranging from high‑end remodels to full custom builds and additions. You’ll work directly with ownership, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard of craftsmanship. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can lead with confidence, and enjoys problem‑solving in the field.
What You’ll Do
Oversee all active job sites daily, ensuring quality, schedule, and safety standards are met.
Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and material orders.
Maintain detailed schedules and progress updates for each project.
Perform daily walkthroughs to ensure craftsmanship aligns with Salyer Homes’ standards.
Communicate with clients, designers, and the project team on timelines, selections, and changes.
Manage punch lists and close‑out processes for each home.
Track budgets, verify change orders, and report potential cost impacts.
Document daily site activity with photos and notes.
Contribute to process improvement and workflow refinement as we continue to scale.
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years of residential construction experience (custom home or remodel experience preferred).
Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing, materials, and trades.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Tech‑savvy and organized (experience with Buildertrend or similar tools a plus).
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between multiple job sites in the Lubbock area.
Self‑motivated and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
Starting salary: $75,000+ (based on experience).
