Job Responsibilities

Staff Leadership – Ensures the operation of SPD is in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Develop corrective action plans for improvements, provide project leadership, ensure compliance and readiness plans are current. Creates daily assignments for SPD staff. Responsible for time keeping.

Operational Leadership – Coordinate and assist with direction of the shift. Functions as preceptor and educates. Maintain PAR levels to assure inventory, trays and instrumentation. Maintains adequate stock and storage of supplies and equipment to ensure instrumentation and scopes are available.

Equipment Maintenance – Validates, records, reports and manages to ensure timely preventive maintenance for instrumentation and equipment.

Sterile Processing – Operates equipment and leads staff to decontaminate, prep and pack, sterilize, pick instruments and trays to set up case carts. Keeps accurate records and reports malfunctioning equipment.

Quality and Workflow – Enhances and ensures daily perioperative and clinic flow. Engages in quality assurance activities and lean/process improvement projects.

To provide high‑level disinfection (HLD) and sterilized equipment and instruments for clinical and surgical procedures.

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

3+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Certified Registered Central Supply Technician (CRCST) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).

Expected Starting Pay Range: Annualized pay may vary based on FTE status $22.18 – $27.73
