Full-Time Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Controls Technician
with hands‑on experience to join our team. This role involves installing, programming, commissioning, and servicing building automation systems (BAS) for commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, networking, and control logic. Key Responsibilities: Preventative Maintenance Tasking (Database Back‑ups, Control System Analysis, Network Analysis and Optimization, Central Equipment Controls Performance Testing, Customer Training) Execute Service Quoted Projects Troubleshoot DDC Control and Mechanical Systems when necessary Replace Failed Components as necessary Provide Consistent Communications (Supervisor, Service Coordinator, Account Managers, and Customer) Install, configure, and commission building automation systems. Develop and modify control sequences and graphical user interfaces. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate project delivery. Maintain documentation including wiring diagrams, control drawings, and programming files. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Qualifications: Required: 2+ years of experience with Controls Systems a plus. Familiarity with HVAC systems and control theory. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites. but not required. Niagara AX/N4 certification. Distech Controls certification or training. Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols or any other Protocols Knowledge of IP networking and system integration. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in mechanical rooms. Willingness to work in various environments including construction sites.
