About the Role
We are seeking a skilled
Mechanical Engineer
to design and develop custom robotic automation systems. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, evaluating technical feasibility, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative automation solutions. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with strong CAD skills and a background in robotics or automation. What You’ll Do Design and size complex mechanical components, assemblies, and robotic systems
Create detailed layouts and mechanical designs for automation cells
Evaluate projects for feasibility, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness
Participate in proposal development and provide accurate technical input
Lead design reviews, drawing releases, and project kick-off meetings
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure project success
Apply engineering principles to the design and production of custom automation systems
Follow safety policies and contribute to a safe, organized work environment
What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
5+ years of mechanical design experience (robotics/automation industry preferred)
Proficiency with
AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Autodesk
(other CAD software a plus)
Experience designing systems that integrate multiple equipment types
Strong ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specs
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25%
Physical & Work Requirements Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for tools/equipment
Occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs
Work in a dynamic shop/manufacturing environment with occasional loud noise
Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 per year
