Job Purpose and Impact

This is a Fixed Term position located at 117 Eeg Boulevard, Kralendijk, Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands. Please note that Cargill does not provide relocation assistance to the work location.

The Maintenance Mechanic II will perform maintenance and troubleshoot production or warehouse machinery, typically leveraging multiple trades with regular guidance. You will apply maintenance and reliability practices to complete preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance to ensure assets are maintained and the facility operates effectively.

Key Accountabilities

Utilize maintenance and reliability practices with some guidance to ensure all assets are maintained in safe condition while maintaining equipment life.

Complete preventative, predictive and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility with limited direction.

Operate 1 or 2 standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools and preventative maintenance technology tools.

Demonstrate experience in 1 or 2 maintenance trades and components (e.g., electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems).

Modify electrical or mechanical schematics, blueprints and operation manuals with some direction or instruction

Document completed work and observed conditions using maintenance computer software; interact with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations.

Operate forklifts and scissor lifts following standard production documentation to deliver to the correct location.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Senior Technical School (MTS-Level 4) Electrical or equivalent with >5 years of work experience in household, commercial and industrial works

Successful completion of accredited trade school or 5 years practical experience as an industrial electrician

Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, different shifts or hours beyond regularly scheduled shift with advance notice

Perform physical job duties such as bending, lifting up to 60 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, ascending and descending stairs, twisting

Ability to work in confined and tight spaces and in elevated areas with or without reasonable accommodation

Ability to work in outdoor and dusty environments

Preferred Qualifications

Possession of journeyman certification as an electrician

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Papiamentu, Dutch and Spanish
