Construction Project Manager Reports To:

Business Unit Leader / Senior Management

Position Summary The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with specifications and quality standards. The Construction Project Manager will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, manage resources and schedules, and monitor project performance to achieve successful results.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from pre-construction through final completion.

Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans in coordination with management and stakeholders.

Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance and clarity.

Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals.

Select, contract, and manage subcontractors and vendors.

Coordinate and communicate with foremen, superintendents, and crews to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Monitor project progress, costs, and quality to identify and resolve issues promptly.

Conduct regular site visits to assess safety, quality, and progress.

Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and correspondence.

Facilitate regular project meetings with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations.

Foster strong client relationships and address concerns professionally and effectively.

Manage project closeout, including punch list completion and final documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in heavy highway, civil, or commercial construction.

Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.

Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace; experience with Bid2Win or similar estimating tools a plus.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Strong negotiation and communication abilities.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required; clean 10 year MVR.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
