$110,000 – $150,000 per year Job Description
The successful Process Engineer candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of a wide range of projects primarily utilizing Elessent’s BELCO®, IsoTherming®, and STRATCO® technologies. Working in alignment with our business units, the Process Engineering team supports initiatives that bring measurable value to both our customers and the Elessent organization. This position requires an engineer with proven experience in process design and / or operations who is ready to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the advancement of Elessent’s exciting technologies and design capabilities. The successful candidate will also engage in global technical services work by supporting plant startups, troubleshooting, and optimization activities on-site. Key Responsibilities
Lead the process design and execution of projects, from conceptual studies to basic engineering and provide support for commissioning and startups. Assigned projects may include new grassroots designs, revamps of existing units, and optimization studies. Develop and review process simulations, mass and energy balances (MEBs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) as well as other high-quality deliverables. Design and specify process equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Provide quality reviews for other process engineers, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices. Participate in technology development and efficiency improvement efforts to enhance Elessent’s technical offerings and improve internal processes and design tools. Engage directly with customers throughout the life of the project, including kick‑off meetings, project meetings, design reviews, as well as on‑site support. Travel domestically and internationally to support projects and technical service needs, including customer meetings, operator training, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start‑up activities. Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering 5 years of experience required, 10 years preferred. Preference for experience in a petrochemical facility. Proficiency with process simulation software (HYSYS, Aspen plus) Strong leadership and communication skills Strong organizational skills Flexibility and interest in global travel Additional Information
Domestic and international travel is expected, initially at an estimated 10‑15%, increasing with experience and responsibility. Some trips may be of extended duration.
