About the Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician Role As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you’ll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field‑based role is perfect for skilled technicians who enjoy independence and variety in their work. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6‑8 trucks and trailers, including emergency roadside service when needed. You’ll have a fully equipped company service truck, top‑tier tools, and a supportive team that values your skill, drive, and dedication.
Where You’ll Make an Impact
Perform on‑site preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on Class 6‑8 trucks and trailers.
Handle emergency road‑service calls with confidence and urgency.
Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
Use advanced diagnostic tools—including handheld computers and precision instruments—to identify and fix issues fast.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Road‑test vehicles to ensure every repair meets top‑quality standards.
Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry‑standard repair times.
Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
Take ownership of a company‑issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and ensure safety compliance.
Support the team wherever needed.
What Makes You a Great Fit
At least 3 years of hands‑on diesel tech experience on Class 6‑8 trucks and trailers.
DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
Strong communication skills.
Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems, and digital tools.
Ready for outdoor work in all weather.
Independent, dependable, and self‑motivated.
Positive attitude and safety‑first mindset.
Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Bring your own hand tools; we supply everything else.
Work Environment
Dynamic, high‑traffic areas—safety and precision are key.
Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise.
Handle chemicals, oils, and grease safely.
Lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components.
Active work: bend, kneel, crawl, crouch.
Work outdoors in all weather.
