Pay: $25-$30 per hour.
Job Summary The HVAC Technician I performs maintenance, repairs, and installation of assigned HVAC, refrigeration equipment, chilled water systems, boilers, and various mechanical, electrical, and building systems in accordance with client expectations and requests.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches, and other controls on electrical systems.
Use common HVAC trade tools in daily work (e.g., multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools).
Install, maintain, and repair ventilation, air conditioning systems, and equipment.
Identify and mitigate maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
Provide technical direction and on-the-job training.
Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
Ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
Assist with customer inquiries.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Entry-level HVAC technicians are encouraged to apply.
Basic Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent required.
Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years of HVAC experience preferred.
Possession of refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification preferred.
