Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering field

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or test engineering environment (automotive preferred)

Competent in understanding of machining processes (turning, milling, hobbing, shaping, etc.) and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)

Familiarity with robotic automation, PLC programming, or vision systems

Ability to read technical drawings and interpret 3D CAD models

Proficient in data analysis, root cause investigation, and process troubleshooting

Knowledge of quality systems and tools (e.g., SPC, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP)

Strong problem-solving and project management skills

Key Responsibilities

Support the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes

Ensure all manufactured and assembled components meet critical tolerances per print requirements

Collaborate with product and design engineers to ensure components are manufacturable and meet performance requirements

Design and procure tooling, fixtures, gauges, and automation systems required for efficient and repeatable production

Provide day-to-day support for production lines, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and defects

Apply Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools to optimize production flow and reduce waste

Work closely with Quality Engineering to ensure processes meet all ISO/IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements

Analyze process data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement

Support new product launches, process validation, and PPAP submissions

Create and maintain standard work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans

Lead cost-saving initiatives related to labor, materials, equipment utilization, and process improvements

Train production personnel on processes and best practices
