We are seeking an Entry Level Construction Inspector to join our South Carolina Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team. Responsibilities include performing construction engineering and inspection duties on highway and bridge projects, utilizing SCDOT policies and procedures. Tasks involve materials testing, construction observation, reporting, reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, and enforcing contract documents. Preferred Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong written and communication skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Able to travel for meetings, site visits, and inspections Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with state law SCDOT experience is preferred Technical school degree is a plus Local candidates are preferred Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Successful passing of drug screening prior to employment, with ongoing random and cause testing Commitment to our employee-owned culture Our Values and Commitment
