This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Light Duty Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement Key Responsibilities As a Light-Duty Mechanic with Transdev, you will help maintain and repair equipment to ensure vehicle readiness & safety. Other major job duties include: Assist with preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections. Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, & transmissions. Ensure work orders are completed accurately. Assist with mobile emergency services. Qualifications Valid driver’s license required; Willingness to obtain CDL while employed – We train! At least 1 year of automotive maintenance & repair experience or technical school education Possess a mechanic’s tool set Willingness to participate in ASE certification program. Training, testing, and bonuses provided! Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason. Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
